Braving a winter mountain crossing, Max and her small family struggle to survive, seeking refuge from the apocalyptic infection that has destroyed their world. Even more importantly, they hope to find a cure for the infection that is ravaging Max’s father and slowly destroying his humanity. With Max willing to risk everything to save her father, and her sister Ellen willing to do anything to protect herself and Max, they find themselves not only struggling for survival against incredible odds, but being torn apart from within.
